Open Air Museum – an 1800’s Village
Open Air Museum – an 1800’s Village
Come experience the villages of the island of Funen as they were in the 1800’s: Smallholders eking out a living, prosperous farmers, the watermill, the vicarage, the village school, and much more.
Things have evolved since the days of small farms in Denmark, but in the Open Air Museum, we go back to the time when horses were key in farming.
Your guide will take you to several of these farms, houses, and fields and share the life stories of the people who lived there, thus giving life to the village. You will come away inspired from this visit back in history.
Tour Start: Main entrance to the “Funen Village” Museum or as arranged.
Duration: 1 or 2 hours.
Distance: Approximately 3 km, 1.9 miles. Dress appropriately for the weather as you’ll be outside.
Fee: Depends on the duration
